I think Francisco’s parents constantly walked by faith, but it was most evident in “Miracle in Tent City,” because they relied on their prayers to pull their baby through the illness. They felt that because they kept their promise to God, He fulfilled their prayer.
Faith in finding a better life was constantly apparent. They had faith that the next job would be a good one, that they would be able to stay somewhere, that the work would be steady. It is expressed at times in their Catholicism, but generally I think they operated on a system of faith.
